The Engineering Division is responsible for the planning, design, and construction of capital improvement projects in the City of Cambridge. Engineering maintains records for the public right-of-way, for public sewer and storm drain utilities and, it contributes to the development of the city's Geographic Information System (GIS).
This division reviews construction plans, issues grading permits and performs inspections of construction projects. Staff also provides engineering support services for other divisions of Public Works and for other city departments.
