A free showing of Disney's “Mary Poppins Returns” is planned in Cambridge at the Sailwinds Park Amphitheater on Friday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. The magic continues for viewers as Mary Poppins helps the Banks family remember the joy of being a child. Together with her friend Jack the lamplighter, fun is brought back to the streets of London in celebration that everything is possible…even the impossible.
“This event will be a great kick-off to Mother’s Day weekend," said Brandon Hesson, Associate Director of Economic Development for the City of Cambridge. “We hope families will come out to enjoy a great show and the scenic surroundings at the amphitheatre.”
Popcorn and drinks will be provided, while supplies last. There are no seats at the natural amphitheatre, so attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. Parking for the event is available at Governor’s Hall or at the Dorchester County Visitor Center on Rose Hill Place. The showing marks the sixth free family movie night hosted by the City of Cambridge.
