[ARCHIVED] A&E District Welcomes The Groove Theatre Co.

Let The Right One In

Cambridge is one Maryland’s 25 designated Arts & Entertainment (A&E) Districts centered in the historic downtown adjacent to the Choptank River. The A&E program helps develop and promote community involvement, tourism and revitalization through tax-related incentives designed to attract artists and art organizations to town.

The newest arrival to the Cambridge A&E community is The Groove Theatre Company, which will call 447 Race Street home. “It means a very great deal to me to be able to start this in Cambridge, a town with a rich diverse history that stands uniquely against the backdrop of Eastern Shore culture,” says Groove Theatre Company founding Executive Director Edwin Talley Wilford.

One of the goals of Groove Theatre Company is to enrich the lives of Eastern Shore families through artistic excellence and community engagement and accessibility by telling challenging and engaging stories that promote thoughtfulness in the way their future audiences view the world.

Their debut performance of Let the Right One In, will run October 11 through 21 and is a tale tailor made for the Halloween season. For more information and to purchase tickets visit www.groovetheatre.com or email info@groovetheatre.com
