A free showing of “Solo – A Star Wars Story” is planned in Cambridge at the Sailwinds Park Amphitheater on Friday, September 28 at 8 p.m. The showing marks the fifth free family movie night hosted by the City of Cambridge.
Viewers will board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away along with a young Han Solo as he finds adventure when joining a gang of galactic smugglers, including a 196-year-old Wookie named Chewbacca and the notorious Lando Calrissian.
“We think this showing will be especially popular and certainly entertaining for the entire family," said Brandon Hesson, Associate Director of Economic Development for the City of Cambridge. “We hope families will come out to enjoy a great show and the scenic surroundings at the amphitheatre.”
Popcorn and drinks will be provided, while supplies last. There are no seats at the natural amphitheatre, so attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. Parking for the event is available at Governor’s Hall or at the Dorchester County Visitor Center on Rose Hill Place.
