On November 10, 2025, the City of Cambridge was proclaimed one of the 550 Extra Mile Cities in America. This designation pays homage to that special vibrancy existing within the entire community when its individual citizens collectively “go the extra mile” in personal effort, volunteerism and service.
In acknowledgement of this honor, Mayor Lajan Cephas Bey is urging each individual to go the extra mile and acknowledge all those who, with their efforts and commitment, make their families, organizations, community, county and world a better place.
So Cambridge … let’s go the extra mile!
