A few weeks ago, rainy weather forced the showing of LEGO Batman to be rescheduled, and city staff have been determined to reschedule the event. Efforts have paid off, and the free family event will take place this Friday, September 22 at 8 p.m. in the Sailwinds Park amphitheater.
“The last Family Movie Night was rescheduled, and then cut short due to weather, this one was rescheduled, and in the meantime, another event was canceled due to rain,” said Brandon Hesson, the Associate Director of Economic Development for the City of Cambridge. “I think everyone’s ready and looking for something to get them out of the house, and we’re going to break this little run of bad luck.”
LEGO Batman (2017) tells the comedic story of how a cooler-than-ever Bruce Wayne must deal with the usual suspects as they plan to rule Gotham City, while discovering that he has accidentally adopted a teenage orphan who wishes to become his sidekick.
“In all seriousness, we’ve come to look forward to the Family Movie Nights, because it gives the entire community a chance to get together with their families,” said Hesson.
Free Popcorn and drinks will be provided while supplies last.
