Commissioner David Cannon

David L. Cannon, a lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore, was born and raised in Cambridge, MD and has lived in the fourth ward of Cambridge for over 45 years. Commissioner Cannon graduated from Cambridge High School in 1971, attended Chesapeake College and since has built a career in sales, client relations, marketing, and finance.

Dave, as he is known to his friends and business associates, is presently the Marking Manager for Independent News Media USA, Dorchester Banner office. Commissioner Cannon serves as Board President for the Care and Share Fund in Dorchester County, is on the board of directors of the Cambridge Rotary, the Dorchester Chamber of Commerce and served on the Housing Review Board for the City of Cambridge for 16 years.

As a member of the City Council, Commissioner Cannon will serve on the Ordinance Committee, Traffic and Safety Committee, the Finance Committee as well as liaison for both the Americans with Disabilities Committee and Planning and Zoning. 

Commissioner Cannon along with his wife Cindy is a member of Open Bible Church, they have five children, thirteen grandchildren and needless to say "Loves Cambridge."
