|The Commissioners of Cambridge are soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified|
contractors for the reconstruction of a portion of the roof on the Old City Hall building located at
307 Gay Street. The roof area is approximately 3,400 sq. ft. and the replacement structure will
consist of new shop-fabricated wood trusses and a preformed metal standing seam roof.
Sealed proposals will be received by the Department of Public Works, 1025 Washington Street,
Cambridge, Maryland 21613 until 4:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at which
time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Bid Documents may be examined at the office of the Department of Public Works, 1025
Washington Street, Cambridge, Maryland 21613. Hard copies may be purchased for $50 per set.
Digital copies will be provided at no cost.
The successful bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date specified in a written
Notice to Proceed from the Owner, and to fully complete the project within 90 calendar days.
Bidders are required to schedule a site visit to inspect both the interior and exterior of the building before submitting a bid for this work. Site visits are to be scheduled by contacting the City Engineer or (410)228-1955.
