Commissioner La-Shon Foster
Commissioner La-Shon Molice Foster, was elected third ward city commissioner July 2016. She previously served as fourth ward city commissioner from 2004 to 2008. During her tenure as fourth ward city commissioner, Mrs. Foster, was appointed to the National League of Cities, Human Development Policy and Advocacy committee. Commissioner Foster is also a 2007 Graduate from the Institute of Governmental Services from the University of Maryland. Prior to that Commissioner Foster served on the Housing Board of Review.

Commissioner Foster is a lifelong resident of Cambridge Md. Commissioner Foster is married to John Foster Sr., and together they have 9 children, they are members of Bethel a.m. E. Church and True Tabernacle of Praise. Commissioner Foster is self employed as a Psycho Therapist at Clearview Professional Center, where she works in Behavioral Modification for Children and Adults. Commissioner Foster was employed at Dorchester County Department of Social Services from 1988 to 2005. where she worked as Child and Adult Protective Service Worker, Foster Care, Family Services, and Supervisor of Senior Care and In-Home Aide Services. Commissioner Foster held several positions at Sojourner Douglas College; Instructor for the Social Work department, School Counselor and Acting Director. Commissioner Foster also worked for Delmarva Family Services as Director and Therapist.
Commissioner Foster holds an Associate's Degree in Humanities and Social Science, a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, and a Master's Degree in Social Work and Administration.
